Having a campfire is part of the outdoor experience, at least in our opinion! It’s nice to sit around the fire together, meet new people, tell stories, play music, sing campfire songs, or enjoy some roasted marshmallows. However, because the campsite is located in a small forest with a lot of small bushes, you are not allowed to start fires just anywhere. That’s why we have created a special fire place next to the central pond with a large fire bowl and plenty of seating. In the summer, there are almost daily guests who make a campfire and enjoy it with everyone until late into the night. For the colder nights we provide blankets,

We try to regularly precure local firewood (such as untreated waste/rubble wood and pallets), but it is not always in stock and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. As you are not allowed to actively scavenge for drywood in our forest only use the designated wood that we provide for free, you bought from us or you took yourself from home.

Note: A (large) campfire consumes a lot of firewood and this has become scarcer (and more expensive) due to the energy crisis, among other things. If you want to be sure to have enough firewood, bring some from home or buy some dry fireplace wood (from local trees) from us for € 20,- per wheelbarrow.
